HYPOCAMPPOTTYMUS!

Reciting Pi to 40 places, in an occasional attempt to keep the old hypocampus from shrinking, has always been one of my favourite brain exercises. But whilst on most days the old grey cells will proudly rattle of the sequence - and throw in a rapid 12 times table for desert - on others, there is a black void past the first 4 places. (3.14 15....er...?..thingy...er...?...darn it!).

So I can't believe people actually do this - for FUN!!!

I was going to say something very profound here.....

But I can't remember what it was.

Hi Grandad ~ Ah, shame about that. Words of wisdom - lost to pottysenility...or do I mean posterity(?) What do I mean?

Good grief. I can't even remember a six digit phone number sometimes!

There are some seriously strange people in the world, aren't there? LOL!

Hi Jay ~ Yup! And so many of them too. I thought it must be a MENSA gathering at first - but apparantly not, these are just 'ordinary' folks.
There's hope for us yet....duh!

Oh good - its not just me then! I've just been sent a new bank card and pin number and I cannot remember it!
Thats only 4 digits as well!!!!

Hi Kate ~ Those 4 pin pass digits are the very devil to remember - and protect (supposing you lose your address book with the pin written inside it! To overcome both problems I once wrote a ficticious name in my phone/address book, then jotted a ficticious long distance telephone number; i.e., 13 digits, including the pin digits, next to it. Clever or what? NOT!! Promptly forgot where I'd 'hidden' the pin digits along the sequence. (Talk about a self defeating exercise....sob)!

I love the term they use... "memory athletes"

Keep on trucking! Geri Pottymus

Hi Steph ~ 'Memory athletes' - yes indeed, a more than apt description!

(Oh dear, now I've got this cartoon picture in my head of a bunch of little perspiring brains hurdling around a race track; tongues protruding, little stick like arms and legs pumping...aarrgghh)!

Keep well!
